Occupational Therapist - Time Management & Public Speaking

I was always challenged, but working things out myself made me feel empowered and better equipped to apply things into practise.

I decided to sign up for coaching as I really needed some guidance in helping me focus with time management. I also needed support with how to prioritise my workload and more importantly support with decision making to enable work to flow better. I must admit I felt a little daunted prior to signing up but it was the best decision I did. My time spent with Pauline has provided me with tools to help manage my work routine and in my home life. I had the pleasure of working with Pauline Leung as my  coach in 2024 every other week for 5 months. 

Through out our coaching sessions I began to see that part of my problem of feeling overloaded was that I wasn’t delegating things to other work colleagues and that I found it difficult to be assertive. I also lacked confidence in certain situations such as presentations. I gained valuable techniques on how to have difficult conversations without being confrontational.                                                                                                                                                                  

At first, I found coaching to be exhausting and I wondered why this was. What began to stand out was the style of questioning or discussion. It dawned on me that Pauline was trying to allow me to  problem solve situations and not just to be given an answer. I was always challenged, but working things out myself made me feel empowered and better equipped to apply things into practise. Pauline was always patient and always put you at ease making the process much more enjoyable.

A highlight to me now is that I don’t put things off. I have learnt how to be more confident in presentations. I also use little tips such as taking a drink of water just before answering questions as it gives me time to evaluate. I have also learnt that I don’t always have to answer a question straight away. I also feel more organsised and I make plans which helps prevent me from jumping from one thing to another.

I am so grateful that I made the decision to do coaching sessions and that Pauline was the coach. She is so  personable and has such a friendly manner and provides you with lots of postitivity.
