“Pauline helped me devise a plan for making 2025 a wonderful year”
My coaching sessions with Pauline covered a broad range of topics. The first session focused on my preparation ahead of nightshifts; how to manage my time effectively, prioritise and look after my wellbeing overnight. The second session was to prepare me for a meeting where I was raising concerns around staffing in the workplace; how to discuss possible solutions to problems in a professional manner. My third session was aimed towards inter-professional communication. My final session was looking forward into the coming year. This involved a review of how to find energy at home and in the workplace.
I have realised the importance of recognising how you feel and prioritising your own wellbeing both in the workplace and at home. I know what to consider when organising meetings with seniors, raising concerns and reflecting on progress made. I understand that it is important to spend time doing activities that boost your energy both inside and outside of work.
Pauline was wonderful - she is a fantastic listener, and knows exactly the right questions to ask in order to broaden my perspective on a subject. She is able to reflect my emotions back to me and suggest useful strategies to harness them to do good! She has a good sense of humour and made me feel welcome throughout.
A highlight would be the realisation that many of your anxieties about taking action may be driven by how they align with your personal values; so long as you prioritise what’s important to you, and do so in a friendly or professional way, you can’t go far wrong! I have learnt a lot about how I process my work-related frustrations in an unhealthy way, and have discovered ways to turn these negative feelings into a force for good. Over just 4 sessions in 2 months, Pauline has helped me to devise a plan for making 2025 a wonderful year!
